Legion of Mary

Our Lady of the Intercession Praesidium and Our Lady of Peace & Mercy Praesidium

The Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic organization founded in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921. There are two types of membership.

  • ACTIVE: These members are required to attend a weekly meeting and undertake assigned apostolic works.
  • AUXILIARY: These members support the active members through their prayers: daily rosary and prayers in the Legion's prayer book called a "Tessera".

The object of the Legion is the glory of God through the holiness of its members by prayers and apostolic works.  All practicing Catholics, men and women, married or single, may participate in this apostolic work.

The Our Lady of the Intercession Praesidium meets each week on Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 P.M. in the Mother Cabrini Parish Center.

The Our Lady of Peace & Mercy Praesidium meets each week on Monday from 6:00-7:30 P.M. in the Mother Cabrini Parish Center.
