The individual parishes of Rhode Island are the backbone of our Diocese; they provide us all with a community for worship and service. To that end, our parishes – like the Diocese – rely on the stewardship of their parishioners for vital support. In the Catholic Church, to be a steward means to consistently give of one's time, talent, and treasure, in thanksgiving for the many blessings that God has bestowed.
Stewardship in all its forms is received with much gratitude
Many Catholics in the Diocese of Providence contribute generously to their parish during the weekly Offertory, but some wonder, “Where does the money go?” Every parish in the Diocese is required to publish an annual report that will provide its parishioners with that answer. What you will find is that your weekly offering pays for the maintenance of your church and its buildings, provides salaries to the staff, and supports programs that directly impact the people of your parish.
We invite you to become a true part of this family. Become a steward of St. Mark Church; commit to generously give of your time, talent, and treasure. If you want to be a part of strengthening our Parish, call the office and we will register you right over the phone!
